Mayor Jim Hinkle announced on September 2, 2009, that through the efforts of the City working with the Georgia Department of Transportation, the City was awarded a LARP road grant to re-pave Brannan Blvd. between Herring Road and Grayson Industrial Parkway.  The work should be completed sometime in 2010.
