Q. How do I set up my Trash Services?
Sanitation Service within the Grayson city limits is a free service provided to the residents from the City budget. The City contracts with Robertson/Republic Services for Sanitation service. Trash, recycling and yard debris pick up is on Thursday. Please have your containers by the curb by 7:00 a.m. Yard debris must be in brown paper yard debris bags. Limbs must be bundled and tied no longer than 4 feet and weigh no more than 50 pounds. Yard debris will not be picked up if it is in plastic trash bags. You have a choice between a 90-Gallon Recycle Roll Cart or an 18-Gallon Recycle Bin.
You may call Republic Services directly at 770-867-4367 for customer service issues such as missed pick-ups or to request a large item pick-up, but you must call City Hall to set up service and request containers.
Republic Services only observes three major holidays: New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. As a rule, collection will run one day late if any of those holidays fall on a weekday. The normal Thursday pick-up will apply for all other holidays.
To start new trash service call 770-963-8017, for customer service issues call 770-867-4367. All residents must use the City approved Robertson/Republic Sanitation.
